Sarah Helton Sarah Taylor Helton, 84, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2009 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born on the Right Fork of Straight Creek on January 1, 1925 a daughter of the late Mandy Bullins and Jess Taylor. She was a believer in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rema Helton, children, Phyllis Brown, Patsy Helton, Mary Elizabeth Helton and Herman Helton, brothers and sisters, Media Duff, Lizzie Akers, Louise Brock, Della Brock, Carrie Brummett, Vina Catherine Taylor and Beatrice Brock.
Survivors include her children, Hubert Helton of Pineville, Aline “Sue” Duff of Pineville, Catherine Sizemore of Arjay and David Helton of Corbin; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Sudie Keen, Bessie Brock and Phemie Cyr all of Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. A.B. Smallwood, Rev. Lester Caudill and Rev. Robert Gambrel. Music will be by Rev. A.B. Smallwood and Rema Helton. Burial will be in the Joe Calloway Cemetery at Hulen. Pallbearers will be Toby Wine, Rema Helton, Richard Brown, Jimmy Stidham, Shawn Sanders, Travis Brock, Sammy Brown, Sam Brown, Jeffrey Hoskins and Jimmie Walden.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
