Margaret Lewis Champlin

November 19, 1912 - February 13, 2009

Margaret Lewis Champlin, 96 of Pineville passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 at the North Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Andersonville, TN. She was born at Four Mile on November 19, 1912 a daughter of the late Joe and Lydia Lisenbee Lewis. She had been a Homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Howard Gambrell and William “Bill” Champlin; sons, Tommy A. Champlin and William A. Champlin; brother and sisters, Grace Dixon, Hazel Lewis, Floyd Lewis, Mable Messer and Melinda Lewis Elam.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Joe Gambrell and wife, Geraldine; daughter-in-law, Wanda Champlin; grandchildren and their spouses, Sonia Tindell and Paul, Alan Champlin and Suzie and Karen Gambrell Hearon and Keith; six very special great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Bill Elam and his wife, Jewell; a special friend, Doug Napier; several nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be Monday at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. James Polly and Rev. Travis Wilder. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday after 6 Pm at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
