Virgie Lewis Bailey Virgie Lewis Bailey, 77, of Arjay, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the Pineville Community Hospital. Born in Arjay, KY on January 8, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Miley Sizemore and Dewey Lewis. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and had been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bailey; son, Michael Bailey; grandson, John Thomas Bailey; great-granddaughter, Taylor Fugate; brother, Robert Lewis and Jesse Smith; brothers-in-law, Willard Shepherd, John Bailey, Walt Bailey, Raymond Bailey, Elbert Bailey and Taylor Mills; sisters-in-law, Elsie Bailey, Creasy Mills, Louise Reed, Dora Warren and Betty Smith; daughters-in-law, Loretta Bailey and Janice Bailey; son-in-law, Bill Green.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Wade Bailey, Kenneth and Ella Bailey, Charles and Dorothy Bailey, Rodney and Polly Bailey, Debbie Green and Barry Bingham, Chester and Anita Bailey, Matthew Bailey, Mitchell and Alison Bailey; grandchildren, Tonya Bailey, Kenneth Bailey, Jr., Nelson Bailey, Melissa Bailey, Rhonda Roper, Wayne Bailey, Leighanna Fugate, Nancy Green, Lindsey Bailey, Leanna Bailey, Jamie Bailey, Matthew Joshua Bailey and Chancellor Bailey; great-grandchildren, Lexis Thompson, Brandon Bailey, Chelsie Bailey, Summer Bailey, Hunter Bailey, Hope Bailey, Courtney Collett, Timothy Collett and Morgan Fugate; sisters, Mimmie Jean Shepherd and Birdie and Clyde Reeder; brothers and sisters-in-law, Viola Lewis, Birdie Bailey, Bill and Tamera Bailey, Nina Bailey, Janice Bailey, Arnold Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Information
Services will be 12 noon Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Lord. Burial will be in the Big Jim Cemetery at Arjay. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
