Mr. Arnold Wilder

July 11, 1926 - September 20, 2009

Arnold Wilder, 83 of Hulen passed away on Sunday September 20, 2009 at Pineville Community Hospital. He was born July 11, 1926 in Balkan, Kentucky the son of the late Danie and Amanda Jane (Cox) Wilder. He was a member of Moss Chapel Baptist Church. He was a self employed mechanic and owner of Arnold’s Union 76.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Cox Wilder, Brother Martin Wilder, sisters, Thelma McFarland and Lillian Miracle.
Survivors include his children Daryle and Vickie Wilder of Calloway, Arnold, Jr. and Libby Wilder of Calloway, Carolyn and Terrell Gibson of Pineville, Patsy Gilbert of Hulen, Beatrice and Ronnie Gambrel of Hulen and Sharon Gail and Keith Barton of Middlesboro, brother, Danie Wilder, Jr. and Ruth of Laurel Hill, sister, Betty McGeorge and Paul of Balkan, special aunt, Laura Walters, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 2:00pm Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul B. Gibson, Rev. Terrell Gibson and Rev. David Howard. Music will be by Denise Trosper, Mike Gully, Moss Chapel Church Choir. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery at Tanyard Hill, Pineville. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Roark, Freddie Taylor, Lonnie Barton, Paul Green, Paul McGeorge, Danie Wilder, Jr., Rick Slusher, David Phipps, Estill Middleton, Eddie Storms, Gregory Gilbert, Russell Miracle and Rick Nelson.
