Dorothy Mae Jackson Mason

Dorothy Mae Jackson Mason, 68, went home to be with the Lord at Mercy Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee on May 6, 2010. She was born in Pineville on July 4, 1942 a daughter of the late Robert “Buster” and Margie Brock Jackson. She was a believer in the Primitive Baptist Faith and had been a Licensed Practical Nurse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Ray Mason; brothers, Robert Edward Jackson and Jerry Wayne Jackson; granddaughter, Bridgett Mason and son-in-law, David Leon Wilson.

Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Wilson and Tammy and Gary Dale Ramey; son, Robert Ray Mason and companion, Ruby McCoy; grandchildren, Jessica Renae Wilson(John David Lefevers),David Allen Wilson(Alicia Jones), Arnold Ray Mason, Samantha Ray Ramey, Taylor Renae Mason and Joshua Dale Ramey; companion and constant presence of 15 years, Paul Peck; sisters, Mary Ruth and Hank Wilson, Margie Ann Miracle and James Henry, Debbie Jane and Kenneth Miracle, sister-in-law, Vickie Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Information

Services will be at 2 PM Sunday at the Laurel Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ricky Dorton and Elder Kenneth Robbins. Burial will be in the Jackson Cemetery on Laurel Hill. Pallbearers will be David Allen Wilson, Arnold Ray Mason, Jim Miracle, Timothy Pete Miracle, John David Lefevers, Jamie Jones, Eric Langford and J.J. Bradley. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Nicholas, Hayden Thomas, Mckenzie Wilson, and Donald Jr. Jackson; nephew, Adam Knuckles, Dr. Neil Barry, Donna Collins and special friends, Mary E. Wilson, Carol Messer, Jeri Mattie McGeorge and Mr. & Mrs. Fred Bush.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 9 PM Saturday at the Laurel Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville is honored to serve the Mason family.
