John Clayton Golden, 69 of Ingram, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2010 at his home. Born in Ingram on December 19, 1940, he was the son of the late Sill and Carrie Hembree Golden. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a United States Army Veteran. Clayton had worked as a mechanic at the Bell County Bus Garage for many years and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed music and playing the banjo. Survivors include his wife, Betty Wilson Golden; children and their spouses, Todd William and Kim Golden, Elizabeth Golden and David Warren, Jamie Lynn Golden and Brent Fuson and John Patrick and April Golden; grandchildren, Sara Golden Abbey Golden, Caitlyn Fuson, Kaleb Golden, Emma Kate Golden, Olivia Fuson, Tucker Fuson and Ashlyn Golden; brothers and sisters, Drucilla and Corb Hembree, Tom and Caffee Golden, Maudie and G.K. Vanbever, Lovilla and Bob Abraham, Donald and Pam Golden, Lynn Golden, Rita and Shelton Evans and James and Barbara Golden, mother-in-law, Vera Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral InformationServices will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. David Fuson, Rev. Arnold Petrey and Rev. Murphy Buell. Burial will be in the Golden Cemetery at Ingram. Military Honors will be presented at the graveside by the Harlan County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Chad Golden, Shane Golden, Keith Bingham, Kevin Bingham, Nick Evans, Christopher Golden and Bill Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Silas Goodin, W.L. Golden, Johnny Wilson, Kenny Wilson, Don Hembree, Paul Bingham and Eddie Crisp. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Golden Family. |
